Theatre tickets are going up!!

For example In February 2023 saw Tina Turner the Musical at The Aldwych Theatre, seat A16, I paid £25 (bargain) reduced from £69. That same seat in May 2023 £80!!!!

Before you pay for seats, check the official site, I was going to pay £35 (reduced) for a front row seat for Back to the Future. I checked the official site and found a £19.50 seat to the side B30 but there was a huge speaker which was very loud to the side of me. Personally I did not think the speaker was loud and as both the views were restricted I went for the £19.50 seat and the show was fantastic!!

Have an open mind, I have seen some amazing shows for as little as £10 not big west end productions but small independent plays slightly out central London.

Also remember Friday, Saturday and Sunday ticket prices are usually higher than on a Monday Tuesday Wednesday or Thursday and matinées tend to sell out quicker than evening performance.

Here are the links to sites to find theatre tickets with reductions, there are more but these are the ones I use most.

Happy hunting!!

Today Tix have a web site, but the app is better.

Today Tix does special offers usually 24hr but they tend to last longer.

Tix also does on the day rush tickets

Theatre Monkey

A website that shows nearly all the available discounts that are about, from no fees to discount codes and money off

London Theatre Direct

A fantastic site with discounts

Seat Plan

One of my favourite sites, it allows you to see the photos that people have taken and read their thoughts on the seat, view and legroom.

Extremely useful

Site also does discounted seats.

There is also the TKTS booth in the heart of Leicester Square, personally I have never bought tickets from here or from any of the little shops around Leicester Square so I have no idea if they are any good or not. I have noticed that there is usually a queue.

I do know that some theatres do day seats, again I have never done this as I can’t get to London early enough!!! I have no idea which theatres do what look at their web sites directly.

Good luck and have fun!!!
