So this week, in via Victoria and then up the bell tower of Westminster cathedral £6 but for an extra £1 you can see the treasures of Westminster cathedral too.
Lovely views of a different side of London, you could even see Buckingham palace.
The treasures were stunning
Next it was on to find a monument that I missed last week of a lion and a gazelle. Still need to find the penny cat!!!!
Then because it was round the corner I walked to Buckingham palace. Yes the queen was at home😀😀. Walked round the Victoria monument and then on to St James Park where I met some very friendly squirrels and a heron. It then started to rain so I headed indoors to the tate modern via the millennium bridge to look at the chewing gum art.
First stop at the tate was floor 10 and the viewing platform which gave 360% views, beautiful.
Then I wondered round the tate. I have to say I didn’t get most of it. Why is it art???? Did find Monet’s water lilies and Dali’s lobster phone.
The highlight of my day came when I left the tate and who did I find on the millennium bridge? The chewing gum artist!!!! Painting a new bit of chewing gum!!! We had a lovely chat 😀😀😀
It was time for a coffee and food, so found a pret, then found a McDonald’s.
Refuelled I decided to take the bus to trafalgar square where a protest was taking place so left them too it and went to the theater and watched opera undone tosca and la boheme. Each opera was in English, given a modern twist and cut down to 1 hour each only a small theatre and a cast of 4 members but they were both fantastic.
