Two Walks, One Around St Paul's and One Around Barbican. They can be done together or separately.

Google maps says both maps together are 2.1 miles and takes 45 mins. It will 100% take longer as there is a church to look round and a museum if you want to!!

 

A Walk Around St Pauls


Google says it is 0.9 miles and will take 20mins, It will take longer

 

Start stop 1

Bracken House

A stunning zodiac clock


 

Stop 2

Reflection Garden beautiful refection of St Pauls in the water

 


Stop 3

St Pauls Garden has some beautiful statues/memorials look around see what you can see


 

Stop 4

One New Change building

In the basement there is a free water refill station (careful it also dispenses fizzy water!!!) and free toilets

Top floor is the free roof terrace just take the lift up to the top


 

Stop 5

Penfold Post Box, its green!!

There is a Tesco’s close by if you want to get food or drink

 


Stop 6

Postman's Park memorial to brave people who died while saving others very humble and beautiful

There are benches and it’s a lovely spot for a picnic

 


Stop 7

Beautiful garden go down the steps and see what you can find

 


Stop 8 and 9

Roman Fort Ruins London wall and Roman Fort Gate

 


Stop 10

St Alphage Gardens

More stunning ruins The Tower of St Elsyng Spital, which has it's origins tracing back to the 11th century. There is also places to sit and see if you can find the Minotaur Statue who has HUGE boy bits!!! And the beautiful gate.

 


 

But there is more close by you can do both in one day or split them up

 



A Walk around the Barbican area


Google says it is 1.2 miles and will take 25mins, It will 100% take longer as there is a church to look round and a museum if you want to.

St Alphage Gardens (see above)

 

Stop 2

The Barbican

If you get the opportunity to go to the barbican conservatory go!! Its free beautiful but small but defiantly worth a visit.

Check the website it’s not always open!!

There are picnic benches here and places to get food and drink and stunning scenery

 


Stop 3

St Bartholomew the Great

Beautiful old church with the gold Damien Hurst’s Exquisite Pain statue painfully beautiful

 


Stop 4

William Wallace Memorial


 

Stop 5

St Bartholomew's Hospital Museum, free, a lovely little museum about the history of St Barts hospital.

The gem is the beautiful staircase painted by William Hogarth. It was closed for restoration please check before you go.

 

Stop 6

Golden Boy of Pye Corner

 


Stop 7

Christchurch Greyfriars Church Garden

 

Stop 8

Paternoster Square, London

A beautiful square with a tall column and shepherd and Sheep statue. Also has a lot of places to eat and a few places to sit
