I had an amazing day with my dad yesterday.

We both had covid recently and I know I was not feeling 100% I’m so tired all the time!!!!

We met up at the British museum and went to the Stonehenge exhibition.

Whow it was fantastic, lots of exhibits, truly fascinating and I learnt a lot!! After we went to my favourite places in the British museum, unfortunately we couldn’t go to Assyrian lion hunt reliefs as it was closed!! But we managed to see the Parthenon sculptures and I think the nereid monument??

After we had lunch at five guys 😍 yummy, I forgot to take a pic of the food!!!

We then jumped on the train to the titanic exhibition. Oh whooow it was amazing.

The audio guide was fantastic, there were pictures and every picture had a commentary on the audio guide and told a story.

If you have ever watched the film titanic (one of my son’s favourite films when he was younger yes I know it word for word!!!) James Cameron did an amazing job mixing fact with fiction to create the film titanic.

I was almost in tears at some points listening to the story’s, the exhibition was very moving.

So after titanic I stupidly suggested going on the cable car to which dad said “it’s far too windy!!”

Yep he was right.

So we decided it was rest time!!!

We found a pret between Euston and kings cross and sat down and had a coffee (me) and a tea (dad).

It was then time for another walk!!

I took dad to see the gas works flats and gardens behind kings cross station. A fantastic building and next to it is the mirror garden and a canal.

We also found a goose/duck/bird?? That was very friendly and kept fighting its self in the mirror!!

We made it back to st Pancras station and found the statue of the poet John Benjamin and the lovers.

After we went looking for an oddity that dad had read about in the old booking office, which is now a posh restaurant/bar in a very expensive looking hotel.

We managed to sneak in and find the 4 sculptures on top of the plinths!!!

Eventually it was home time, left dad to get his train at kings cross and made my way to Victoria and eventually made it home at 22.00. Early for me!!

Walked over 9 miles, which considering both dad and I had covid recently, is amazing!!!!

All in all I had a fantastic day with my dad, we definitely need to do it again!!!😀😀😀
