The trains were a complete mess ended up going in via London Bridge and late!!!!
First stop Canary Wharf to find the tall ship gotheborg. Only saw it from one side of the harbour was going to get up close but ran out of time!!
Next stop Greenwich and the royal observatory via a front seat in the driverless DLR!!!
Then up the huge hill!!!
gosh it was hot!!!
Finally made it to the observatory for 14.30, free for nhs, unfortunately I didn’t have a lot of time as the planetarium was booked for 15.30 again free for nhs and the lovely lady at the gate told me I wanted to be in the planetarium que for 15.00 if I wanted a good seat at the back.
She was right!!!
The show was fantastic got a few pics which we were not meant to take, it’s not easy taking photos without looking at the screen!!!
Next the long walk down the hill treated myself to a colipo £1.69 and found the dead parrot monument... yep no idea why it’s there!!!.
Next was supposed to be a walk along the Thames but the route was closed due to building work so I took the street route to the Peter the Great statue only to find that the little person/dwarf was boxed up!!
No idea why.
Dinner was a reduced cheese and celery sandwich with a view of the Thames.
I then made my way to the theatre.
I was early so sat in a beautiful park and checked my train home.
Yep the trains turned into buses from Brighton 2hr 25mins!!! Wouldn’t be home till around 3am!!!!!!!!!
Watched the first half of South Pacific seat in the stalls £90 reduced to £32.50.
Made the decision during the interval to leave early!!!!
I was exhausted, there was only 35mins left of South Pacific, and I have work at 11am!!! If i caught an earlier train no bus home in 1hr 20mins
