London Mary Poppins

Had another amazing day London yesterday, this time with my friend

Started off at the cutty sark which was fantastic, so informative and interesting and strangely beautiful.

We then decided to walk down 136 steps to walk back up then again!!! (Lift was broken) But we stood in the Thames tunnel under the Thames!!! We would of walked to the other side but we were waiting for a boat to take us to Westminster.

Eventually the boat arrived 50% off!! so only £6.62!! It was a fantastic trip from the cutty sark to Westminster, freezing cold but we really enjoyed it. Definitely a highlight of the day and yes we could of sat inside in the warm but we decided to sit outside on the top!!!! And freeze!!!! And yes I got my plonker hat out!! But I was cold!!!! And didn’t care!!!

Made it to Westminster just before 5pm and waited for Big Ben to chime...he didn’t!!!

He’s still not chiming!!!!

But the scaffolding is coming down,

We jumped on the underground to Leicester Square and I showed my friend the movie status, Clifford the dog had been added 😁😁

Next dinner!!

No McDonald’s today we went to the montagu pike pub for dinner, 1 chicken tikka masala, 1 ham egg and chips, a large red wine and a pint of cider not bad for £16 in the centre of London, got to love a whetherspoons and this on was an old music auditorium thing??? It was huge, and very full!! we were lucky to get a table.

After dinner we went and watched Mary poppins it was fantastic, amazing, magical!!! seats were £30 reduced from £50!!

Amazing view and we really enjoyed the show especially the end!!!

Then the journey home began, not a hope of making the 22.45. Made it to London Bridge at 22.50!!! The 23.15 was cancelled next train and last train was at 00.08, if it wasn’t cancelled.

Decided to get the 23.05 to Brighton, with a connection to Worthing. Dropped my friend off at her station on the way, and I got off at Brighton, the train was 2 mins late and we watched as the connecting train left the station as we pulled in!!!!!

So frustrating!!!!!

So yet again my train turned into a bus!!!!! Finally made it home at 01.37!!

Still made it home earlier than the 00.08 train would of, but boy am I fed up with the trains!!!!!!! Being cancelled!!!

But I am home and going to bed!!!!
