Yesterday’s mission in London was to find the 7 noses of soho!! Multiple people have sent me links, posts and messages about them and they have been on my list for years!! So I finally decided to find them.
First stop Piccadilly Circus station, and my first nose in great windmill street.
Next a walk to meard street seeing bits on the way. Nose two found.
Next dean street where I found a sign for a brothel... and two noses, that’s nose three and four found.
The next nose was on Bateman street, nose number five found!!!
Slight detour to soho gardens to find the Kirsty maccolls bench (fairytale in New York singer best Christmas song ever!!) also found the ww2 bomb shelter entrance, the mini Tudor house, st Barnabas house and a lovely bit of graffiti art.
Eventually I made it to Endell street and found nose number 6!!!
Nose number 7 ummmmmm I know the nose is at admiralty arch but admiralty arch has been undervalued construction for months/years???!!!!!
So I decided it was time for primark!!!! I need new socks!!! Found a few bits on the way to primark, a big red thing?? and a sleeping dog. Made it to primark and spent an age finding socks for me and leggings for my daughter in law!!
The store near Tottenham station is huge!!!! I think I spent more time in primark than I did finding the noses!!!!!!
Finally left primark and made my way to Aldgate East station which had some amazing tiles dotted about.
Eventually made it up top and started walking to Whitechapel station. Along the way I found the weather vein of a man reading a book while sitting on a horse backwards?? (yep no idea why) a fountain. The bell foundry that made the replica of Big Ben and the original liberty bell. Next stop the community centre that looks like a hedgehog/porcupine..thing???and some lovely graffiti on the way.
Last stop before getting on the underground at Whitechapel was the man hole cover showing the location of the defeat of the fatberg which weighed 130 tons and is currently on show at the museum of London!!!!!
I then jumped on the underground at Whitechapel to embankment and walked to Charing Cross.
Dinner time!!!!
I love the £1.99 McDonald’s vouchers in the metro!!! £2.98 for a quarter pounder cheese with extra gherkins, lettuce and mayo, medium fries and a coffee yummmmm. Also I’ve found my news favourite rest stop!!! McDonald’s next to Charing Cross station...it has a sofa!!!!!heaven!!!!
Recharged I walked towards admiralty arch and as I thought, no hope of finding the 7th nose as building works are still going on!!! So I mooched around Trafalgar Square, I took a pic of what’s inside the smallest police station and tried to take a selfie...next Leicester Square where I met two lovely ladies out celebrating a birthday and we had a lovely natter.
It was finally time for life of pi!!! I was meant to watch this when I had covid lucky I got to rebook, unfortunately my seat was rubbish!!! Original I was meant to be front row £29.50 reduced from £60!!! I got the money back in credit but the offer had ended so I ended up in the grand circle with a restricted view, which meant that in order to see the stage I had to lean forwards.....a lot!!!my boobs were on my knees!!!!! It was so uncomfortable.
After the first half I decided to be cheeky and I asked if I could move and they said yes 😃😃😃 I moved to the last row of the stalls but omg it was so much more comfortable. It was a fantastic play well worth seeing.
Made it to Victoria for the 22.15 train and I had time to get wine and food ❤️❤️
