Whow what a day, it did not go to plan!!!!

Started at tower hill, found the art?? paving stones and I have to say I think the first one is very appropriate!!!

Made my way to kings cross to wait for my sister to arrive and popped into the harry Potter shop.

Found my sister and then tried to find the portal that let's you look down on the underground, couldn’t find it, found a light instead😂😂🤣🤣 it was too hot!!! So gave up!! Next we found the stunning lovers statue.

We then jumped on the underground and went elephant hunting!!! We found the herd in green park. They are beautiful absolutely stunning!!! We then sat under a tree and had a ice lollies.

We then jumped on the underground to Waterloo and found another elephant, there are a lot of elephants in London!!!!

It all went a bit wrong after that!!! We went mosaic hunting. Admittedly we did find mosaics just not the ones we went looking for!!!! I then thought, it's too hot!!! let's go to the national war museum, couldn’t no tickets left!!

So total change of plan we took the 453 bus to trafalgar square!!! My favourite bus routes you see all the major sights!!

Westminster Bridge and a load of protesters.

At trafalgar Square we found a door I wanted to see 😃😃 I know odd but I like odd stuff!!! showed my sister the imperial measurements and the allyway that inspired harry Potter diagon alley.

We then had a McDonald’s for lunch and for the first time in about 20 years I bought a drink!!!!! I usually don't bother and just drink water that I bring with me, have I mentioned it was very hot!!!

Across the road was the Agatha christie monument and the policeman's hook.

We then went to Leicester Square to the church of notre dame it was beautiful.

After we went to the m&m shop and then found the movie star statues.

By this point I was exhausted, so we jumped the train to blackfriars to find the blackfriars pub the outside was unfortunately covered in scaffolding (I'll have to pop back 😉😉) but the inside was beautiful. We had a cheaky cider and made a plan.

Popped to tescos, across the road, grabbed food, then went to St James Park and watched the world go by.

Found lots of police on the way to St James and they explained that there was a parade at 19.00. Unfortunately my sister's train left at 18.50. So while sitting in St James park, we decided I would get my sister to Victoria and on the right underground train for king's cross. Then I would go back for the parade.

So we put the plan into action.

Yep it didn’t go to plan for my sister, there was a suspected fire on the underground at King's cross so she had to get off at Euston and get the bus!!! But she made it and I made it to the parade it was fantastic!!!!

One of the main reasons booked this holiday was so I could see the changing of the guard but due to covid it's not on, the parade more than made up for it!!! It was amazing!!!!

It's been an exausting but amazing day
