Well it been an interesting day!!!! and most of my pics are of fish 😂🤣😂

Trains my nemesis!!!

Got on the 11.34 to Victoria, got as far as hassocks and the train stopped due to a points failure between wivelsfield and haywards heath. Driver told everyone to get off the train and get on the next one as his was now terminated. Next train arrives and we all get on.

Over an hour later we finally get moving, slowly, but we’re moving and that’s when the other passengers realise we’re not going to Victoria but to London Bridge, thankfully for me it really doesn’t make a difference.

Eventually we got in at London Bridge saw the shard, something I was not expecting to see today and then I jumped on the underground to Westminster and headed to the sealife centre somewhere that has been on my to visit list for ever!!!

Ticket was booked for 13.30 it is now 14.45!!!!! It’s not the end of the world if I can’t get in.

I bought a yearly Merlin card via a Black Friday deal. Paid £70 reduced from £90 and I can visit all the Merlin attractions as many times as I want for a whole year except on weekends and school holidays!!!

Wahoo less kids!!!!

The lady at the ticket counter was lovely she scanned my ticket and I told her I was going on the London Eye later and then she told me that the London eye was closed for emergency maintenance!!! I had tickets booked for 16.30!!

Never mind I’ll figure out what to do next later, now it was time to relax and watch the fish, sharks, turtles and jellyfish. I love aquariums but it’s very hard to take photos of fish!!!!

The London sealife is huge but I think I prefer Brighton.

So after the sealife centre I went on the Merlin website to see if I could book tickets to the shrek adventure it’s next door to the sealife, I couldn’t, didn’t think I could as it says in the conditions you must book 24hrs in advance.

At a loss as to what to do I wondered to the next door, the London dungeon, I decided to try my luck and see if they would let me in. The lovely ticket lady let me in without a booking!!!

Never been to the London dungeons before.

No photos or videos allowed but it was great fun!!!

I’m not going to spoil it by telling the story for those who haven’t been before, but I enjoyed it great fun!!

Next it was dinner time yep you guessed it Charing Cross McDonald’s!!! Offer on the app, paid £3.59 for a quarter cheese, medium fries and a small coffee.

Whilst eating dinner I checked the trains......ohhhh the trains!!!!!!

National rail were saying all trains cancelled after 22.15 but Trainline saying some cancelled but some turn into busses from Brighton after 22.15!!!!

What drives me mad is I asked the man at the ticket desk before I went to London when the last train back from Victoria was and he said 00.04!!

I even asked what is the likelihood of it being cancelled he just shrugged his shoulders!!!!!!!!!

Anyway I spoke to the information man at charing Cross who confirmed all trains cancelled from 22.15!!!

I then went to Charing Cross theatre and they were very understanding and moved my seat close to the exit door so I can leave early in the second half!!!

Show started at 19.30 and is 2hr 30 long!!!!! Definitely would not make the train if I stay to the end!!!!!

Decided to have half a cider £3.50 I'm supposed to be on a fun stress free day!!!!!

The musical was, From here to eternity, paid £16.75 reduced from £35 I was moved to seat q1.

To be honest it’s such a small theatre all the seats are good. The first half of the musical was good. But I made the decision to head home in the interval.

I managed to get on the 21.16 train home, I was expecting to be on the 21.46 but just made the earlier train!!!. I mean with the way my day had gone it was not worth seeing an extra 30mins of the musical, it was good but getting home is much more important

I also managed to get wine and food!!!!!

I made it home at 22.56. I walked almost 6 miles.

All in all, if you take the trains out!!! It was a good day filled with lovely people who helped and did there best for me!!!
