Started yesterday going into London via Victoria and then on to Waterloo to meet up with my sister, no idea where she was, she went out of exit 5 at Waterloo??? and ended up in leek street!!! The opposite side of Waterloo to where I was šš¤£ Eventually we found each other and went to see the lions!!!š¦šš I love the lions!!!
Next stop London Bridge to find weird stuff that I find interesting and yep we went the wrong way šš¤£ found a few plaques, eventually and the original site of the globe theatre, a pac man, the ferry manās seat and Shakespeares words on the side of the Thames tried to get a panoramic pic.... that didnāt work!!!.
We then walked past the globe theatre and across the millennium bridge finding chewing gum art (always look up and down!!).
Finally I was able to go on a London beach!!!!!
Highlight of my day.
This is something I have tried to do for years but the tides have always been wrong!!! Did a bit of mud Larkin!!! It was fantastic šš may of accidentally found some bits of old pipe. (technically illegal to remove without a license...opsšš) I would of loved to of found an almost whole one!!!
At this point we needed a pee!!! Off to my favourite toilet at the one change building!!! Refreshed, we went up to the roof terrace for fantastic views of St. Paulās and London.
Next up we jumped on the DLR to the cutty sark for a boat ridešš we sat up top and my sister was frozen cold, wasnāt as cold as the last time I did it with my friend!!! I didnāt need my hat this time šš¤£šš¤£ again we got the boat trip for half priceššš I have to admit I could do the boat trip all day every day...just so long as itās not raining!!!!
Westminster came into view and Big Ben is slowly being unveiled, itās lovely seeing the progress a wee bit more every time I see him.
Next it was food time, dinner was pie and mash in the duke of York pub in Mayfair. The food was good but the service was very poor, I got confrontational!!! Something that very rarely happens!!!
Then for the highlight of the day dr who, time fracture, an immersive experience. Paid Ā£15 each reduced from Ā£50 each bargain. I am a huge dr who fan but Iām sorry, I hated this, it made no sense!!!!!!
Started off good, enter a secret unit base that has a time fracture that they are keeping under control. Got that, a dalek appeared, the time fracture opens. On to the next stage.
At this point my sister and I were so confused we decided we just did not get this whole thing so we left!!! Blaming my poorly leg, it did hurt a lot!!! Very very disappointed ā¹ļø none of it made any sense!!!! Yes I know itās a time fracture.... but a bit of a storyline would of been good!!!! They did offer us another visit for free which was lovely of them.
So next we jumped on a bus to Piccadilly Circus where we said goodbye, my sister went to king cross and I to Victoria. For once the trains ran to time!!! Though there was planned engineering works so it took an extra 30 mins for me to get home, all in, all a mix day, had fun made it home an hour early 23.45 and walked 9 miles
