We started at the monument and walked to the sky garden via pudding lane (where the great fire of London started). Found one of the smallest sculptures of the mice and cheese. Even though we had timed tickets the que for the sky garden was huge!! So we went for a wonder in the hope that the que would go down.
Made it to leadenhall market. Found the shop that is the Harry Potter entrance to the leaky cauldron.
Then popped along to the Lloyds building, which is an inside out building!!! All the services (water, air conditioning etc) is on the outside of the building. It’s a fantastic building very original.
After wondering we made it back to the sky garden to find the que had grown!!!!
It was too hot and none of us like to que so we went to the roof garden at 120 fenchurch street instead, a place I definitely prefer!!
It may not be as high as the sky garden, only 15 floors, but it’s a beautiful place and it’s tranquil, Unlike the sky garden which is very noisy!!!
After the roof garden we grabbed a coffee at pret, reduced food at sainsburys and had a picnic supper at st dunstan in the east, a stunning bombed out church that was never rebuilt and left to nature.
On the way to st dunstan we found 3 stunning horse statues and while eating lunch we met a music artist called Elvis fernandes who was making a music video for his new song stay. He found it amusing the mess we made while eating baguette, sun dried tomatoes, hummus and Brie!!!
After supper we went to the Tower of London to look at the superbloom for the jubilee celebrations £13.20!!!! To look at wild flowers close up, it was bit expensive for us so we walked around the outside which was beautiful.
Eventually we made it to Tower Hill station and found the sun dial depicting the history of London.
We then jumped on the underground to St. Paul’s.
I found another chewing gum artist tile!!!!!!! Dead chuffed 😁😁😁
We went to paternoster square and saw the animals having dinner. we then popped to the loo and water refill at one change building and of cause we went up to the roof terrace!!
We were all shattered so it was wine o’clock 😁🤪 popped to Tesco’s got a bottle of wine and took it too the postman’s park, seeing the penfold postbox and police box on the way.
At the postman’s park my friend and her family looked at the stunning tiles that tell some beautifully sad and heroic stories while I sat watched, they also had a natter with the church group that was there.
Eventually we had to leave the postman’s park and head to the Barbican centre to see anything goes.
Paid £40 reduced from £92 seats were front row A17, 16, and 15.
It was absolutely fantastic, the cast was amazing Denis Lawson, Simon callow, and Bonnie Langford!!!!!
It was an absolutely stunningly fantastic show well worth it!!!!
It was then the mad dash home!!!! Got food but no wine as I’m working at 11am!!!!!!
Walked 8 miles and eventually made it home at 1am!!!!!!!
