I was going to put the cost of everything in but with the way things are and the way prices keep changing I decided to use the £ to indicate cost. £ low cost, ££ medium cost, £££ expensive.

New One Change Building

Free, stunning views of St Pauls. Its on the 3rd floor of a shopping centre and there is a bar up there, never used the bar so no idea of the cost. Access to the terrace is via lift.

The basement floor has my favourite toilets!! Always clean, smelling good and there is a free water fill station as well.

One New Change, London EC4M 9AF

The Garden at 120

Free but can be closed for a private event, Check the website for any closures.

I prefer the garden at 120 to the sky garden. No, it’s not as high, but it’s so peaceful and tranquil. If I remember correctly there are toilets at the top. There is airport like security to go up and it’s all via lift.

120 Fenchurch St, London EC3M 5BA

The Post Building

Free but you do need ID.

Not easy to find, as the address I had was for museum street!!! Close but not close enough!! 9 New Oxford Street is the address next door to the post office building. I can’t seem to find the exact address that will get you close via google maps!!! Just look through the window and if there is a big blue slide you are at the right place!!

There is airport security, you need ID, and you have to sign in but then it’s a quick lift ride to the top and some stunning views. There are toilets at the top.

9 New Oxford St, London WC1A 1BA

Sky Garden

Free but you need to book a ticket and you need ID.

To book tickets, look at least a month prior to visiting and work out when the tickets will be released, sometimes they do them weekly sometimes two weekly sometimes more!!! If you are visiting in the holidays, you definitely need to understand how the site works so take the time prior to visiting and learn!!! Tickets go extremely quicky. The views are well worth it, but I hate crowds and it can get very busy and noisy. There are toilets at the top.

1, Sky Garden Walk, London EC3M 8AF

Wellington Arch

Costs £, I have not been yet but its on my list. This is a small museum but at the top you can go outside and see excellent views out over Hyde Park, Green Park, Buckingham Palace area.

Apsley Way, London W1J 7JZ

The Monument

Costs £ It is 311 steps up and 311 steps down!! all on a spiral staircase. No lift and No toilet at the top or bottom!!! Personally, I say do it!!! I had a great time climbing with my dad, there are alcoves in the wall so you can have a rest. Bags can be left at the bottom at your own risk. Make sure you take your camera and water!!!

You can buy a joint ticket for the monument and the tower bridge which will save a bit of money.

Fish St Hill, London EC3R 8AH

Tower Bridge

Costs £ It’s not just the views, it’s a museum all about the history of Tower Bridge and on the walkways above the bridge are glass walkways which are great fun. It has toilets. My dad and I loved it, especially in the Engine Rooms they were fantastic!!

You can buy a joint ticket for tower bridge and the monument which will save a bit of money.

Tower Bridge Rd, London SE1 2UP

St. Paul's Cathedral

Costs ££ No lift 528 steps up and 528 steps down!!!! For someone who is not very fit it was a huge accomplishment!!! Definitely toilets at the bottom but I don’t think there are any on the way up and the steps can be very narrow and steep, but the views are amazing!! Check the website for prices.

St. Paul's Churchyard, London EC4M 8AD

Westminster Cathedral

Costs £ A lift up and a Lift down but currently only open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 11 am and 3.30 pm and tickets may be purchased in the Cathedral shop.

The lift is small as is the viewing area at the top but it is 360 and you can see Buckingham palace, St James park it’s a lovely view definably worth seeing a different side of London.

Check the website for changes and prices.

Victoria St, London SW1P 1LT

The Shard

Costs £££ Its 72 floors high via lift!!! You defiantly need to visit on a clear day.

I used groupon to get my ticket a View from The Shard with a glass of Champagne £28 in 2020, so its definitely worth having a look and see if there are any offer on.

32 London Bridge St, London SE1 9SG

London Eye

Costs £££, finally made it on the eye!! Third time lucky!!! not the best weather but the views were good. If you plan to do the eye, London Dungeons, Madam Tussauds it might be worth looking into all the different merlin multi-attraction tickets.

Riverside Building, County Hall, London SE1 7PB

Greenwich Park

Free view but you need to pay to get into the Royal Observatory Costs ££

The view is stunning, but it is up a long hill!!! Take plenty of water especially if it’s a hot day. No toilets at the top unless you pay to go into the Royal Observatory

Royal Observatory, Blackheath Ave, London SE10 8XJ

Primrose Hill

Free, Not been before and it’s another one on my list of things to do eventually.

Primrose Hill Rd, London NW1 4NR

Tate Modern

Free. There has been a court case bought against the Tate about the viewing platform and visitors being able to see into people’s homes. That has now been sorted and visitors can not walk all the way around the viewing platform anymore and until the Tate work out what they are doing the viewing platform is currently closed check the website for updates.

Bankside, London SE1 9TG

Arcelormittal Orbit Slide

Costs ££ It’s a huge slide!!! Fun but expensive, way out of central London and the views are good but not amazing. I had great fun with my sisters doing the slide.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, 5 Thornton St, London E20 2AD

Up at The O2

Costs £££ My sisters and I walked across the O2 and I personally loved every minute of it. It was fantastic fun, and the views were good to. You definitely see a different part of London and its not everyday that you can say I walked over the O2!!!

Peninsula Square, London SE10 0DX

IFS Cloud Cable Car

Costs £ Great fun to travel over the Thames in a cable car!! My sisters and I did this after walking over the O2, we only went one way, but I loved it, my little sister not so much, she hates cable cars!!!! And it would appear we only managed to get one photo of the view!! All the rest are of my sisters and I!!! Ops I'll just have to go again!!!

North Greenwich side London Cable Car Terminal, Edmund Halley Way, London SE10 0FR

Lift 109

Costs ££ Not done it but its on the to do list.

Battersea Power Station, Circus Rd W, Nine Elms, London SW8 5BN

OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie
